Grandmother Mugwort Imrama
Liath Lus - wisdom keeper of blood, bone, and breath, come to the hearth and forest; meet Mugwort as kin, guide, and guardian.
Next Imrama: 21st - 23rd November 2025

Lineage of Practice
Renée is a green witch, animist herbalist, and ritualist whose offerings weave ancestral remembrance, plant spirit work, and the old ways of wortcunning.
Through years of tending Mugwort as daily kin and guide, Renée has evolved her work from intimate plant spirit sessions and apprenticeships to larger circles of teaching and initiatory journeys.
The Grandmother Mugwort Imrama continues this evolution - carrying forward her devotion to the plants, the land, and the ancient pathways of animism - into a container where participants are invited to step into their own direct encounter with the Mother of Herbs.
What is an Imrama?
The word Imrama is a Celtic term meaning a sacred journey of the soul. In this iteration, it is a deepening of self through direct meeting and interaction with the spirit of Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris).
Together we will enter into communal dreaming, fasting and feasting, forest sit-spots, story-weaving, and ritual practices with Grandmother Mugwort - herb of the wise ones, threshold walker, and midwife of visions.

Liath Lus - Mugwort
Mugwort is one of the most magical and practical ancestral medicines to hold in one’s panacea. She has long been woven into the old ways of wortcunning, dreamwork, divination, and ritual cleansing.
For me, Mugwort has been and continues to be one of my greatest teachers - creating a safe space between the physical and the liminal, in the gateways of wisdom, wounding, and healing. She carries archetypes of many wild parts: the ones that live in awen (inspiration), in the blood, in the breath of anima.
I live alongside her each day, witnessing her through the full turn of the seasonal cycles. She has shown me in dreams her ability to reach into the deepest recesses of memory and unconscious, touching both our personal and ancestral imprints. She is a wisdom keeper and tender of botanical consciousness.
In this Imrama, you are invited into that same relationship - to listen, to tend, and to be revealed to by the Mother of Herbs.
Mugwort Invocation

Why Come to This?
This Imrama is not a workshop in techniques or theory, but a lived initiation in the old ways of animism and wortcunning:
-
To sit in the forest with a single plant ally, not as object, but as kin and guide.
-
To enter into fasting and dreamtime, as our ancestors once did, to deepen relationship with the unseen.
-
To allow story, pattern, and metaphor to rise through direct encounter.
-
To walk away with not only teachings, but your own lived gnosis and relationship with Mugwort.
This is sacred work offered in intimacy - a hearth fire, a small circle of six, a weekend lived as ceremony.
Who Is This For?
-
Those who feel called to deepen relationship with plant spirits through direct embodied practice.
-
Space-holders, witches, healers, and seekers who wish to remember the old ways of animism and ancestral herbalism.
-
Anyone willing to sleep, fast, dream, and sit in forest communion as part of an initiatory journey.
You do not need to have previous experience with Mugwort, only an open willingness to meet her as kin.
Note on inclusivity: This offering is open to all genders. In past Imramas we have gathered mostly women, but the circle is held for anyone called to work with Grandmother Mugwort.
